Family

Liscia Elfrieden

Liscia is the First Primary Queen and is a strong-willed individual. At first she didn't know what to make of the newly-instated king and he did not act like a hero. However, in time she would fall in love with Kazuya and would become pregnant with their first twins a year later. Kazuya loves her just as much.

Aisha Udgard

Aisha is completely loyal to Kazuya and takes her role as his personal bodyguard seriously. She falls in love with after he helped her clan with clearing up the rubble from a serious mudslide that killed many dark elves including Aisha's aunt. Kazuya reciprocates her feelings by making her the Second Primary Queen.

Roroa Amidonia

Roroa is the Third Primary Queen and has a kind of friendly rivalry with Liscia for Kazuya's affections. However, she looks up to Liscia as a kind of big sister and does find Kazuya to be a 'fun person' to be married to.

Juna Doma

Juna Doma is the First Secondary Queen and is in love with Kazuya. She finds his ideas and realism to be invigorating. After seeing Kazuya overburden himself with his duties as the king after returning from the God Protected forest, Juna is asked by Liscia to comfort him which she obliges by singing him a lullaby so that he could sleep leading to him crying. After seeing him cry, she decides that since Liscia is the one that brings out the strength in him, she would be the one to hide his weaknesses. She later marries Kazuya and takes his family name: Souma.

Naden Delal

Naden is the Second Secondary Queen and is his bonded Dragon. She is grateful for Kazuya in helping her realize her potential and is in love with him.

How many wives does Soma have?

Let's see
So there are two categories
Primary wives and secondary wives
So far their are seven,
Which I am naming below.though he got engaged pretty quickly, he didn't marry them for a long time.

The spoiler below has names of all the wives. While spoiler above has a secret about Liscia.

Liscia has allowed kazuya for 8 wives so I guess we may see one more later. I mean I am hopeful.

no so far only seven, but Liscia did say that she can accept if he has 8 or less wives and our madlad already has seven, so i am wondering if he will have one more or not.

I think European kingdoms had polygamy as well.

The only thing was that they used to label the first wife as main and rest all as concubines or mistress.

That arrangement was same in this novel as well.

Liscia was supposed to be primary wife and rest all should have been secondary wife but kazuya announced all his wives who had royal background as primary and all others who were from lower class as secondary. And his actual wish was to label all his wives as primary but the genral population cannot see their beloved princess Liscia to be put on same level as any queen from lower birth.

I mean all this is my understanding.

i think i believe that in the anime world in order to make all kingdom at peacefull, kazuya must marry all of the princesses from different kingdoms and have right to produce a heir in order to kept all of the kingdom at peace since in the anime kazuya Kingdom seems like playing a big part as well besides the kingdom where jeanne come from seems like holding a big part as the strongest kingdom that are the frontline in order to kept the demon continent at bay so it does make sense if kazuya have to marry all of the princesses from each kingdoms in order to unite and defeat the demon continent/kingdom.

I think European kingdoms had polygamy as well.

That's why I put LEGAL there. Nearly every monarch had many mistresses but only one wife and it lead to conflicts and wars after the Protestant Reformation

Charlemagne??? He was kind of a big deal in medieval France, and he had several wives. He married one of them because her sister (who he was already married to at the time) was concerned she'd wind up an old maid. This was before the Catholics cracked down on polygamy. Plus legally recognized concubinage was pretty popular with a lot of the various pagan religions of Europe, though that's not quite the same as a marriage - and that it took quite a while for Christianity to spread - especially in the Northern regions, some of which stayed pagan until the end of the 11th century. Meanwhile if Crusader Kings 3 is to be believed, high ranking dudes in Ireland had multiple wives well into the 9th century. (Haven't looked that one up yet, so take that one with some salt.) And they weren't even pagan. After there were the Mongols - who did take over some land in Europe - but did not start there, so their relevancy is debatable. Meanwhile, in pre-revolution France "King's Official Mistress" was an actual position in court (albeit one very frowned upon by the Pope,) which bares some similarities to concubinage. Point is, there is presidence, albeit mostly from the early rather than late medieval era.

Not much different between wn and ln. Probably wn 3 or 4 volume far head than light novel. Got timeskip also later

They know in which episode of the 2 part / season Ronoa will appear in front of Kazuya to ask him to marry her and thus unite Van and Elfrieden in order to protect the principality of Amidonia from the Republic of Turgis and the orthodox papal state of Lunaria from put its claws in the territory after the Principality had lost the war?
